BANGLADESH INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE
The Institution for Alternative Dispute Resolution
Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) organised an online training programme on Arbitration Proceedings on Monday, 30 November 2020 via Zoom.
BIAC organises training courses on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods, namely, arbitration and mediation on regular basis in order to create trained resources on the subjects. Bangladesh Government is keen to promote ADR as our courts are over burdened with cases and dispute resolution through court system takes long time. With this end in view, in recent years, Government has enacted a few laws incorporating arbitration and mediation.
This training course was the Second Module in the series of Arbitration Training organised by BIAC, while the First Module on Overview & Drafting of an Arbitration Clause was held on 28 October 2020.
Barrister Md. Monzur Rabbi, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Head of Chambers, Rahman & Rabbi Legal was the trainer of this Module, while twenty trainees from different law houses, Banks and companies participated in the programme.
